So there are my formal qualifications, but the truth is that all of these certifications are just a part of the picture, and not even the most important part.

To get healthy, to get fit, the first thing you have to train is the MIND. Only then can you hope to train the body.

So let's take a look at your brain:

Have you ever thought "this is the last bite" after every single bite as you neared the end of a tube of cookie dough?

I have.

Have you ever finished that tube of cookie dough and thrown it out the window so no one would see it's accusatory remains in the garbage?

I have.

Have you ever felt so guilty about your eating habits and so unhappy in your own skin that you couldn't even look at yourself in the mirror?

I have.

In short, I GET IT. We all have our neuroses with food. Maybe you binge and purge. Maybe you're a serial see-saw dieter. Maybe food and the size of your butt occupy so many of your waking thoughts you're barely even functioning.

I've been there - I compared myself to models, celebrities, even friends and always came up short. I had a father who called me a piece of garbage. I know, right? I had so little control over my life that eating less and less was the only thing I could control but soon I couldn't control that anymore either. I let all of these things drive me to anorexia. But that's just me.

The point is I know what it's like to feel bad about yourself. I know what it's like to feel out of control. But, I also know what it's like to get past these things and achieve what I never thought was possible. I've learned just how powerful your mind can be. You can let it tell you lies about yourself and force you into bad habits, or you can choose to do something about it and change your life forever.
