Counting calories, obsessing in front of the mirror, emotional eating, yo-yo dieting, starving, & feeling like it’s all for nothing.
I struggled for years with my own weight and body image issues. I’ve been seven different sizes and nothing I ever tried seemed to work. It wasn’t until I stopped seeing weight-loss as the be-all-end-all purpose of fitness that the weight finally came off. That’s when I learned that losing weight goes hand-in-hand with feeling good about yourself.
Fitness and a real honest look inside myself – what I was doing to my body and why – is what saved me. Through working out I learned so much about my own body, how all bodies actually work, and most importantly, myself. By pushing past discomfort and learning to get over wanting to be perfect, I was finally able to put the old me behind me and let go of the things that were holding me back.
After years of homework on myself, studying the connections between exercise and nutrition, the psychology of weight management, and of course exercise science and programming, I felt I was finally in a good place and wanted to help women in a way no gym or diet ever tries.
I didn’t go through all of this for nothing. I get you, and I’m here to help.
