How do I become a member?
Click here and select the membership you’d like. Please note that all new members need to complete a New Client Consultation prior to their first session.
What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 24 hours in advance it will be considered an “Early Cancel” and the session will be credited back to your account. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance it will be considered a “Late Cancel” and it will be counted as is if you used the session.

Do I have to train with the same trainer every time?

Nope. If it works better for your schedule to train with different trainers, no problem. It’s also a great way to get variety in your workouts.

Can I purchase a gift card?

Sure! You can either purchase directly from our store by clicking here ,or you can contact us at hi@verypersonaltraining.com. You can also give us a call at 347-204-8654.

What makes training at Very Personal Training different than other gyms and trainers?

We’re, well, very personal! We don’t view working out as a means to an end (ahem, um, weight loss), we look at it as a way to feel great and awesome. It’s a celebration of what our bodies can do and all the little victories we make along the way. Working out is not a punishment and food is not the enemy. We don’t weigh, measure, or pinch skin. We don’t care if you ate a whole pint  (or two) of ice cream last night. What we do care about is you and how you feel about yourself, and we want to help you feel awesome through workouts that engage you and make you feel powerful. You are not just another member to us, you are one of us, and we really want to hear your story and help you uncover your amazingness within.

Do you offer small group sessions?

Sure! Have a group of friends who want to work out together? Sounds super fun! Contact us at hi@verypersonaltraining.com and we can talk about setting something up for you.

Can I train with a buddy?

Yes, we have a number of clients who like to train together with a friend, partner, or spouse. Please contact us directly to inquire about buddy memberships.

How do I cancel my membership?

All memberships automatically renew at the end of the commitment, so if you have a 3 month membership it will automatically renew for another 3 months at the end of the third month. Once that happens we can’t undo it, so to avoid early termination fees, please let us know, in writing, 1 month prior to the cancellation date. 

What if I have to terminate my membership before my commitment is over?

Since the memberships are offered at such a discount, in the event of unforeseen circumstances that it becomes absolutely necessary to break your contract you will be charged the difference for each session already used against the cost of a single session.

How do I cancel my membership?

What if I move away?

No problem. We offer virtual training sessions, so you can continue working out with your trainer no matter where you are. And if you absolutely need to cancel your membership, please see the next question about terminating your membership early.

When do I get charged?

You will be charged on the same day of each month. Say you sign up on June 2nd, your next payments will always come out on the 2nd of each month.

What if I have a 2x/week membership and I would like to add an extra session one week?

Awesome! Being a member has it’s perks! You can purchase an additional session at your membership per session rate. For example, if you have an 8x/month, 6 month membership you can purchase an additional session at just $80 per session (compared to the usual $115 for a single session without a membership).

Do sessions roll over?

Although sessions don’t roll over, our memberships are flexible. Since the memberships are based on a month you have all month to use up your sessions in any way you’d like. For example, if you have a 8x/month membership and can only make it in one time one week, that’s ok, because you can come in three times the next week. They’re flexible! You just have to use up all 8 sessions in the month.

Can I freeze my membership

Of course! Life happens and occasionally you might need to take a quick break. We allow freezes according to the schedule below:

 

3 Month Memberships – Up to 1 week

6 Month Memberships – Up to 2 weeks

12 Month Memberships – Up to 1 month

 

 If you freeze your membership it will push your next charge date into the future by the amount of days of your freeze. So, if your month begins on June 1st and you freeze your membership on June 7th for 7 days, your suspension will lift on June 14th, and your next payment will move up to July 7th (instead of July 1st).

What should I expect in the consultation?

Prior to your consultation you will fill out an intake packet that will help you figure out what you would like to get out of training with us. It will also help us get a snapshot of your day, your health history, and your relationship to fitness, so that we can design the best program for you, using a whole-person approach. Your trainer will dive a bit deeper at the beginning of your consultation to gather a bit more information. (Don’t know what your goals are? No problem, we will help you with that.) After that, your trainer will take you through a mini workout, designed to establish a baseline, so that they can then go on to tailor a program specifically for you.
